The efficiency of blast furnace pig iron production at the current level of technical development has reached its limit. The application of partially reduced high-strength iron ore pellets is considered as an option to increase the productivity of blast furnaces, which allows reducing of metallurgical coke consumption due to the accelerated reduction process and, as a consequence, reduces the greenhouse gas emissions. According to the data obtained, 1% of partially reduced pellets in the feed saves 0,46,andanadditional10,13.
