The authors presented their own data on manifestation’s options and etiological factors of ischemic stroke in 162 children. Aim of the study was to evaluate clinical, instrumental and laboratory signs of the ischemic stroke debut in childhood. Materials and methods. The study was designed as a cross-sectional (descriptive) cohort included 162 patients according to inclusion and exclusion criteria, sex independent, 3 days - 15 years of age. Results. It was shown that the initial symptoms of a stroke were central paresis of the extremities - 70,99% (n = 115) and facial muscles - 41,36% (n = 67), changes in the level of consciousness 59,26% (n = 96). Children were identified by a combination of 4,91 ± 0,12 etiological factors, the most frequent were: trombophilic state - 87.34%, dyslipidemia - at 45.06%, hyperhomocysteinemia - 44.44% of children. Conclusion. Diagnostic features of «Give me five» and FAST can be used successfully in pediatric patients for the identification of ischemic stroke. It is necessary to carry out a comprehensive examination of children to determine the pathogenic variant of stroke and its risk factors.
