Based on the analysis of theoretical sources and a number of regeneration projects of industrial architecture, the principles of this activity are deduced that ensure their «return» into the urban fabric and social processes. The concepts of regeneration projects used by specialists from different countries are correlated. A multicriteria method for the regeneration of industrial historical and architectural heritage, developed by J. Claver, is presented and partially tested.
