Anodic dissolution of tungsten in the melts of 3LiCl-2KCl (723-1023 K) and NaCl- 2CsCl (823-1023 K) eutectic mixtures was studied employing high temperature electrochemistry and spectroscopy methods. It was shown that W(IV) ions are transferred to the melt. Formal standard electrode potentials of tungsten were determined.
