The article considers problems of inter-ethnic interactions and their direction in the modern society, the impact of inter-ethnic marriages and cross-national family's tolerant / intolerant character of these interactions, connection between ethnic identity and the tolerance of the population to different people, as well as grounds transformation of ethnic identity from the intolerance into tolerance.
