At present, the system for estimating the technical state of highvoltage equipment at substations is the main component of systems for managing the technical assets of an electric network enterprise and is put in use in order to reduce the costs for operation, repairs, monitoring, and diagnostics of this equipment. The question of assessing the technical state of electrical equipment at substations is one of topical issues for the electric network facilities in Russia. This is connected with the fact that the major part of equipment at substations is used beyond its assigned service life. As a result, the equipment quality indicators become less stable; more attention has to be paid to equipment during its operation, and various methods for monitoring the state of equipment must be applied. Matters concerned with establishing the principles for estimating the technical state of highvoltage equipment at substations for computeraided systems of managing the technical assets of network enterprises are considered. A mechanism for setting up a hybrid network using the methods of fuzzy logic and artificial neural networks is presented. A methodology for determining the technical state of highvoltage equipment on the basis of membership functions is considered.
