The article discusses the change of the modal paradigm in the history of epistemology. The author proves that the modern sociological theory of social constructivism conceptualizes sociology in the status of the task (the object) and instrumental installation. The author puts forward the idea of the possible modal analysis as a research strategy of social complexity and the methodology for the design of complex social systems.
