Relevance of the parental labor researches in Russia is connected to unfavorable demographic situation and negative implications. The paper first presents the possibility of studying parental labor with the positions of three sociological approaches (the activity, institutional, community), each of which has different levels of analysis and its own problems of research. The study of parental labor with the proposed scheme of analysis will enable explore this phenomenon deeply and to develop a basis for its social regulation.
