The present study covers practical experience in solving a task of circular fillet welding of a power hydraulics element - shut-off valve. Technological approaches which allow ensuring minimal welding deformations under the condition of standard parts coaxiality and formation of a seam of a given geometry with absence of damage to the surface of the parts are considered. Main difficulties that arose during the experimental welding are shown.
