FIELD: material processing.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of metal processing by pressure; it can be used in the manufacture of valve devices of drilling wells. A billet made of magnesium in the form of a cylindrical cup with a bottom and a cover is obtained. A ball made of steel is placed in the cylindrical cup, and the cup is closed with the cover to obtain a composition assembly. The composition assembly is placed in a press container, and a shape of a shell is changed to a spherical one by its compression with two punches with ends in the form of hemispheres until tight closing of ends of the cylindrical cup. A spherical shell made of magnesium, filled with steel is obtained.
EFFECT: weighting of a ball element of a valve for drilling wells is provided.
