A mathematical model and a method for its approximate analysis are proposed for flows induced by a traveling magnetic field in a channel filled with a non-magnetic fluid and a drop of ferrofluid embedded in it. One end of the channel is assumed to be closed (thrombotic). The study was carried out as part of the development of the scientific basis for magnetically induced intensification of drug transport in thrombosed blood vessels.
