Based on the established heredity of the relationship between the chemical heterogeneity of seamless pipes and continuous cast billets, it has been shown that the key direction in stabilizing the composition and properties of finished metal products is to reduce the level of chemical heterogeneity of cast metal. On the basis of the analysis of the results of specially conducted studies, it has been established that it is possible to significantly reduce the chemical heterogeneity of continuous cast billets by optimizing the technology of secondary treatment and steel casting.
