In the context of the emerging digital economy, the requirements for digital standardisation are being formed. Informatization and connectedness are the main elements of the digitalization stage preceding digital economy. It is informatization and connectedness that are capable of preparing digital duplicates of real objects and processes for operation in digital economy conditions. Creation of a digital library of standards is an objective requirement at the stage of transition to the digital economy. On the basis of theoretical foundations of standardization and functional analysis of the situation the authors formulated a set of goals to be achieved in the creation of a digital library of standards. Such a library should provide the user with full relevant and reliable information contained in the standards for a given issue or a particular area of activity.
