The article presents the results of the study regarding the cartoon preference carried out on the sample of 250 children aged 7 to 10 years. A questionnaire and modified drawing methods “My favorite hero of the cartoon” were used as the basis of empirical research. An assumption was made, according to which children at younger school age prefer the cartoons which aren’t corresponding to their age has been confirmed. The assumption about the preferences of the cartoons in the Junior school age is concretized.
