The kinetics of Kachkanar fluxed pellets oxidation from titanomagnetite concentrate was studied. A diffusion mechanism for the oxidation of pellets both during their heating and cooling has been established. Kinetic equations describing the change in the degree of oxidation of titanomagnetite in pellets as a function of time, the rate of heating (cooling), the oxygen content in the gas phase, and the pellet radius for the OK-228 conveyor machine are derived. The data obtained can be used to assess the degree of completeness of oxidation processes along the length of conveyor machines, as well as in optimizing the design and operating parameters of their operation.
