Muddy; scale of optimism and activity; self-test questionnaire; questionnaire coping strategies СОРЕ; questionnaire «Style of self-regulation of behaviour». The study tested two hypotheses: 1. The hardiness of adolescents and young people with a VI is interrelated with indicators of optimism. The assumption of the relationship of hardiness and optimism was confi rmed both in the sample as a whole and in the groups of visually impaired and blind adolescents and young men separately. 2. The hardiness of adolescents and young people with VI is interrelated with self-relation, coping strategies, and styles of self-regulation of behaviour. This hypothesis was confi rmed in the sample as a whole and in the group of visually impaired respondents regarding the relationship between hardiness and such components of self-relation as self-assessment (integral assessment), self-esteem, the expected attitude from others; For the sample as a whole and in the group of blind people, a link was found between the viability and the components of self-interest “self-interest” and the attitude to the attitude of others. The link between hardiness and coping strategy “behavioural evasion from the problem” and the self-regulation style “assessment of results” were found in the group of visually impaired.
