The article describes the author’s methodology for designing museum and territorial souvenirs, which are able to enhance the user‘s communication with the place. The authors prove the need for an interdisciplinary approach in the research and development of souvenir design. A distinction has been made between a souvenir as a design product and handicrafts and art objects. The necessity of taking into account the functional purpose of the souvenir to extend its information and communication cycle is shown.
