The article discusses the phenomenon of responsibility and explores the factors of its development in personality. Regulatory-dynamic and motivational-meaningful dimensions of responsibility are explicated. The paper is based on the findings of empirical study of psychological components of responsibility among the heads of educational institutions in Ekaterinburg. The author demonstrates that responsibility traits are dependent on the individual’s length of service in the administrative capacity.
