FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: double caesium pyrovanadate-based luminophore Cs2CaV2O7 further contains europium oxide and has the following composition in wt %: Cs2CaV2O7 - 99.95-99.99, Eu2O3 - 0.05-0.01. To obtain the luminophore, Cs2CaV2O7 is first prepared by mixing stoichiometric amounts of CaCO3 and CsVO3. The mixture is thoroughly mashed and burnt at 500-550°C for 110 hours with periodic stirring after 12-20 hours. Eu2O3 is added to the obtained product, thoroughly mixed and burnt at 550°C for 20-30 hours.
EFFECT: luminophore has a white luminescence spectrum close to the spectral response of the human eye, is less hygroscopic than the known CsVO3 luminophore and is thermally stable.
