FIELD: hydraulic structures; tidal power plants. SUBSTANCE: power plant contains of dam 1, forming reservoir 3 separated from water area 2 of the sea, a power plant building, operating gates located in dam 1, reversible turbines with electric generators. On the surface of reservoir 3 reservoir 5 is constructed on pontoons 4 for accumulation of water in it. Dam 1 is equipped with additional gate 13 and additional turbine 6 with pumping unit 7 connected to line 8, entrance 9 of which is led through dam 1 into water area 2. Outlet 10 of line 8 is connected to the inlet of floating reservoir 5 by means of a cantilever mount 12. The bottom of reservoir 5 is equipped with spring-loaded valve 11 to release water when reservoir 5 is lowered to the lower position.
