SUBSTANCE: essence of the invention consists in treating the heated aluminium with gaseous reactants in the form of an aluminium halide, e.g. aluminium trifluoride, and a nitrogen-containing gas and the subsequent condensation of the final product, wherein the aluminium trifluoride powder is placed in one reaction chamber with the granules of metallic aluminium and simultaneously evaporated at a temperature of 1050-1150°C, and the condensation is performed on the liquid aluminium surface.
EFFECT: invention allows to obtain aluminium nitride whiskers with an average diameter of less than 100 nm along the entire fiber length and the ratio of the fiber length to the diameter of more than 100.
