Given article analyzes the basic characteristics and components of a special type of culture - patriotic culture. The special attention is given the detailed analysis of the basic measurements: love to the Native land, historical memory, patriotic activity and identification. A prominent aspect of the practical importance of work is the possibility of use of a material of research for practical recommendations on problems of formation of patriotism at youth. Results of work can find application in teaching social and humanitarian disciplines on problems of a spiritual life of a society and sociology of youth.
