FIELD: power engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of power engineering and is designed for use in low speed wind-powered plants for conversion of wind energy into electric one. A low speed generator for a wind-powered plant in a frameless design comprises a rotor in the form of a disc connected to a shaft of a wind-powered plant and several stators made of permanent magnets with coils and pole tips arranged along the circumference of the disc. Additionally there is a non-magnet disc of the rotor with radially arranged holes. In these holes there are permanent magnets arranged in several rows with the polarity of their poles that alternate along the circumference. The stators are equipped with sliders providing for their radial movement in guides relative to the discs. Additionally there are compensating stators with magnets of the opposite polarity installed diametrically relative to the disc to the stators with coils. The number of magnets in rows is chosen as even.
EFFECT: invention is aimed at increasing reliability of the generator operation due to a reduced sticking effect, and also to provide a modular principle of the generator parameters selection for required characteristics of a specific wind-powered plant.
