Purpose. Analysis of dynamics of civil activity of youth of Sverdlovsk region. Methods. The empirical research was conducted by a questionnaire method in the territory of Sverdlovsk region during the period from May till end of October, 2016. A type of selection of respondents - quote, target (N=2039). Processing and the analysis of data were carried out in the SPSS 22.0 program. Results. Results of the conducted research have shown growth of civil activity of youth of Sverdlovsk region. So, in particular, the number of participants of various public organizations and volunteers grows in young people. The level of credibility of youth to key state institutes has increased. Even more often the youth is ready to show the civil activity through letters, addresses less often through various protest movements (strikes, meetings, etc.). At the same time, in such forms as, participation of youth in self-government, in elections and political parties, the level of civil activity remains rather low. The number of the youth having absolutely passive civic stand has a little increased. In work some recommendations about development of level of civil activity of youth are also made. Scientific novelty. The presented results of a research are a part of the big empirical work which is carried out in the territory of Sverdlovsk region and found reflection in the collective monograph "The civil culture of youth of Sverdlovsk region: tendencies, problems, prospects" (leader is prof. Yuri Vishnevsky). In work the level of civil activity of youth of Sverdlovsk region, based on the analysis of her forms is analyzed. On many positions comparison of the received results of a research with results of researches for the last decade is carried out.
