This article aims at more or less coherent reproduction of and refl ection upon key philosophical ideas discussed at “Rethinking tolerance as a virtue, political demand and moral character” conference, which was held at Karl-Franzens University of Graz, Austria, 5-6 October 2018. Specifi city of tolerance, its supererogatory character, limits and justifi cation are in the focus of the paper.
