This paper describes a brief argument on the selection of recuperative convective-radiative steel high-temperature air-heater for hybrid solid fuel IGCC. Preliminary modeling results in ANSYS CFX for the embedded component in radiation part of high-temperature air-heater are presented. The results of engineering calculations of high-temperature air-heater are given for 32 MW solid fuel IGCC hybrid scheme.
