The article deals with the problems of direct and indirect effects on the personality of journalism, called in the theory and in practice ‘converged'. Work, study, leisure, modern man cannot be imagined outside information influence. And resources of the humanistic potential of the media in this case, as shown by the author, are truly boundless. The author argues that it is important to generalize the experience referring to the formation and development of information culture of the representatives of the Russian society.
