We studied the influence of alloying elements on the wear resistance of parts made of high-carbon cobalt stellite. Reflected that evolved carbides should be the correct shape, or close to it. That will avoid spalling of parts, and therefore will not follow leaking valve pairs. It is established that decrease the percentage of carbon in the range from 2,8 to 2,4%, leads to a noticeable reduction of structure and formation of the uniform carbide cobalt stellite. The resulting structure is small and dense. This permits to significantly increase operation properties, reduce the propensity to spalling and increase the tightness of the valve pairs sucker rod pumps.
