In the paper, the problem of modeling and designing a cylindrical Luneberg lens from a homogeneous dielectric with a constant value of the dielectric constant is considered. The constructions imitating the six-layered structure of the lens are obtained. An approximating function has been obtained that makes it possible to obtain a smooth change in the effective permittivity due to the partial filling of the space between the dielectric screens.
