The purpose of the work was to study the characteristics, problems and prospects for the development of rural entrepreneurship in Russia. The following methods were used in the work: analysis of theoretical sources, survey of rural entrepreneurs, statistical analysis. As a result of the analysis, features of rural entrepreneurship related to the use of natural resources, seasonality of production, dependence on weather conditions were identified, key elements of the entrepreneurial ecosystem were identified, internal and external factors influencing the development of rural entrepreneurial ecosystems were investigated, and the importance of developing internal technological and organizational capabilities was demonstrated. enterprises. Among the conclusions of the study, we note that the development of rural entrepreneurship in Russia requires more comprehensive support, taking into account the characteristics of this area. The work provides recommendations for improving the current situation: development and implementation of a state program to support rural entrepreneurship, creation of information portals and systems to support rural entrepreneurs, increase availability of education and training for developing business skills in rural areas, stimulating investment in rural entrepreneurship.
