The article focuses on the Russian folk tale as an element of ancient Slavic society modeling. The authors consider the mythological basis of fairy tale and allocate its social direction. The article represents the results of the ar-chaic social situation analysis and demonstrates the reflection of social institu-tions and social co-existence fundamentals in the tale. The authors define the main socio-mythological elements which are unique for the Russian cultural and historical type.
