Supervisor’s research interests:
- Condensed matter physics (disordered and low-dimensional systems: glasses, films, chain structures, nanoclusters and quantum dots);
- Photoinduced phenomena in dielectrics and semiconductors, radiation conversion (UV-visible-IR ranges);
- Electronic structure of solids. Optical, UPS and XPS spectroscopy of advanced materials;
- Energy transfer, electronic excitations, defect states and optical properties of 2D, 1D and OD structures;
- Ion-beam modification of the structure and properties of materials for photonics and micro-optoelectronics.
Supervisor’s specific requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree
- Fundamental knowledge in Condensed Matter Physics
- Ab-initio computer simulation skills will be an advantage
- Preferred initial groundwork on the proposed research topic
